Sounds exciting
But I may have to go over and above $5.00 to make something special for someone special because there are so many special people at our club.
I wonder what surprises will be unravelled.

Looking forward to it.
🤲Please be aware…🤲
Sanding without the correct PPE’s is dangerous to your health and others around you.
This is why there is no sanding of items within the club house.
Also keep your hands free of dry clay, never eat food without hand washing first.

People were wondering what crazy thing I was making. So here is the finished product. The clock ticks away very nicely. Walkers 10 underglazed with Walkers and cesco stoneware clear glaze cone 6.
That's genius!
Fantastic feedback from Angie D!
It’s great to hear that the club glazes are working so well, especially the combination of brown under Patsy’s green, on stoneware No.10 & white raku at cone 6. Thanks for passing this along!

Angie, have you had the chance of using the ‘Wombat’ glaze? It looks amazing and me being a newy , I’m just a little nervous about using it. Thanks for your help.
Yes lots of the old cone 8-9 glazes should be tested with all the new clay bodies being made by the new companies.

They look interesting. What techniques are they. how high did you fire them?
On the dish i tried monoprinting for the first time. I bought an online course from Sarah Murray and followed her instructions. ‘Paint a design on newspaper with underglaze. Cover with slip and press the paper on the ceramic underground. The design then transfers to the clay. It sounds easier then it was 😁. It’s fun though
I use the sgraffito technique on the vase on the right. I brushed the leatherhard vase with underglaze and then cut shapes into the clay. Clear glaze on top, Cone 6 fired,

🔥 Update to Firing Requirements 🔥
Starting this week, all commercial glazed pieces fired at the club (e.g., Cesco, Amaco) must be placed on a bisque-fired disc. This is necessary to prevent drips that can damage kiln shelves and pose a risk to our kiln volunteers by potentially cutting their hands.
If you’re working with BRT clay, using a bisque disc is especially crucial, as any residue left on the kiln shelf can cause serious injury during unloading.
🔴 Important: Any glazed items not prepared this way may not be fired until the issue is corrected.
For further information, please speak with Donna or Necia.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. ... See MoreSee Less
